Woman catches hubby in bed with sis-in-law, kills herself

A 32-years-old woman ended her life at her Kashimira residence after learning about her husband’s illicit relationship with his sieter-in-law. The woman, Shobha Shukla, caught the duo red-handed in bed and took the extreme step. According to the police, Shobha hanged herself from the ceiling fan of their residence on Sunday after her husband Shashi Kumar was found in bed with his sister-in-law. “After the woman learnt about the illicit relationship, her husband and his brother along with the accused sister-in-law harassed Shobha, following which she hanged herself. Her relatives approached us and informed about the incident,” Kashimira police station senior inspector Anil Kadam said, adding: “We have arrested the trio under sections 498 (dowry harassment) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code. We produced them in a Thane court which remanded them in police custody for three days and are investigating further.” Shobha’s relatives demanded strict action against the accused as she was the mother of two children who have virtually been orphaned now.
