BISHKEK, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) – Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China is making every effort to locate Chinese and foreign nationals missing in the mudslide disaster that struck the Xizang Autonomous Region.
In his opening remarks during a meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Xi said China is taking all necessary measures to relocate and resettle those affected, to provide medical treatment for the injured, and to prevent secondary disasters.
China has also dispatched rescuers to Nepal and supplied emergency assistance. Xi expressed sincere gratitude to President Japarov for extending condolences over the disaster.
