BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) – China has expressed respect for the United States' choice of terminology for artificial intelligence, according to a spokesperson from the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The spokesperson made the remarks while answering questions about the U.S. use of the term “super intelligence” instead of “artificial intelligence” in the readout on the outcomes of the just concluded state visit.
He added that the two presidents had an in‑depth discussion on AI during the visit and that the advancement of AI remains an ongoing process.
“Parties can have more communication and in-depth exchange of views to seek consensus in light of how the process may evolve,” the spokesperson said. ■
